Job summary

Aya Locums is seeking a locum general surgeon to cover a Surgery Trauma assignment in Vancouver, WA. You will perform a broad range of procedures, provide perioperative care, and collaborate with hospital teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The position requires an MD/DO with an ACGME/AOA–accredited residency, ABS board certification, WA license, and ACLS. This is a temporary assignment with competitive pay and comprehensive support from Aya Locums.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in surgery accredited by ACGME or AOA.
• Board certification in surgery (ABS).
• Active WA medical license and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of general surgeries (appendectomies, hernia repairs, gallbladder removals, emergency cases).
• Provide preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan patient care.
• Be on-call for trauma and emergency surgeries.
