Job summary

ChristianaCare Health System in Newark, Delaware, recruits a Trauma Surgeon to join a collegial group of 13 fellowship-trained Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgeons at our Level 1 Trauma Center. The Medicine team provides comprehensive trauma, emergency general surgery, and critical care services, with opportunities in education, research, and call coverage.

Compensation includes a base salary, bonus incentives, and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in General Surgery.
• Board-eligible or certified in Surgical Critical Care.
• Interest in participation in call and rotational coverage of Trauma, Emergency General Surgery (EGS), and Surgical Critical Care services.
• Interest in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in surgical critical care/acute care surgery.
• Preference for candidates interested in surgical research.

Responsibilities

• Participate in call and rotational coverage of Trauma, EGS, and Surgical Critical Care services.
• Educate medical students, residents, and surgical critical care/acute care surgery fellows.
• Engage in surgical research initiatives and scholarly activities.
