Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines, IA is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained Trauma Surgeon to join a busy team at a high-volume Level II Trauma Center. The practice encompasses emergency general services, trauma care and acute surgical services in a fast-paced environment.

Join a team of 6 physicians and 12 APPs with 15 shifts per month, including days and nights. Robotics are incorporated into acute care surgery, and the EMR is EPIC.

Qualifications

• Fellowship-trained trauma surgeon.
• Experience in a high-volume Level II trauma center is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide full scope of trauma care including OR, rounding, clinic and critical care.
• Participate in back-up call and team collaboration with acute care surgery and surgical services.
