Job summary

Mercy Clinics, Inc., D/B/A MercyOne Medical Group Central Iowa is seeking a full-time surgeon to provide surgical care for patients with acute injuries and urgent general surgical needs. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and the ability to evaluate and stabilize patients with traumatic injuries.

Emergency open and minimally invasive procedures may be performed, with treatment plans developed and implemented accordingly.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Medicine or Osteopathic or foreign equivalent is required.
• Must be licensed or eligible to practice medicine in Iowa.
• Successful completion of Critical Care Fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical care for patients with acute injuries, life-threatening conditions, and urgent general surgical needs.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to provide continuous, high-level patient care.
• Evaluate and stabilize patients with traumatic injuries and acute conditions.
• Perform both emergency open and minimally invasive surgical procedures.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
