Job summary

Endeavor Health in Illinois seeks an experienced surgeon to join a multispecialty General Surgery team focused on acute care and trauma services. You will cover Level 1 trauma and emergency general surgery at Evanston, plus Level 2 trauma calls at multiple hospitals, with outpatient post-op clinic duties.

You will contribute to critical care coverage, oversee residency and fellowship programs through the University of Chicago, and have teaching and potential research opportunities.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and active Illinois medical license or pending approval.
• DEA license required.
• BC/BE board certification.
• Fellowship trained in Critical Care preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coverage of in-house Level 1 Trauma and Emergency General Surgery at Evanston Hospital.
• Coverage of Level 2 Trauma Call and Emergency General Surgery at Skokie, Glenbrook, and Highland Park Hospitals.
• Four to six hours per month of general surgery post op clinic.
• Coverage of critical care in the Surgical ICU at Evanston and Skokie Hospitals.
• Oversees Residency and Fellowship Programs through the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
• Teaching opportunities and potential academic appointment.
• Research opportunities available for interested candidates.

A Brief Overview:

You will join a team of 29 partners in the multispecialty General Surgery Division, specifically with 9 surgeons dedicated to acute care/trauma services. The division is also comprised of fellowship trained surgeons in critical care, colorectal, minimally invasive, bariatric, and hepatobiliarysubspecialties.

• Coverage of Level 2 Trauma Call and Emergency General Surgery at Skokie, Glenbrook, and Highland Park Hospitals;

Salary based on years of experience - range of $356,838 - $585,908
