Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL, seeks an experienced General Surgeon to join a multispecialty team. The role focuses on acute care/trauma services with coverage at Evanston Hospital and affiliated facilities, including participation in post-op clinics and ICU coverage as optional support.

The candidate will have MD/DO credentials, IL license or pending approval, DEA license, BC/BE, and 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• IL medical license or pending approval.
• DEA license required.
• Board certified or board eligible (BC/BE).
• 5+ years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coverage of in-house Level 1 Trauma and Emergency General Surgery at Evanston Hospital.
• Coverage of Level 2 Trauma Call and Emergency General Surgery at Skokie, Glenbrook, Highland Park & Swedish Hospitals.
• Four to six hours per month of general surgery post op clinic.
• Optional coverage of critical care in the Surgical ICU at Evanston and Skokie Hospitals.
• Oversees Residency and Fellowship Programs through the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
• Teaching opportunities, academic appointment.
• Research opportunities are available for interested and qualified candidates.

You will join a team of 29 partners in the multispecialty General Surgery Division, specifically with 9 surgeons dedicated to acute care/trauma services. The division is also comprised of fellowship trained surgeons in critical care, colorectal, minimally invasive, bariatric, and hepatobiliary subspecialties.

Salary based on years of experience - range of $356,838 - $585,908
