Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL seeks a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to provide high-acuity care on the PCU Trauma Stepdown and to support a collaborative care team.

You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care, educate patients and families on medications and treatment instructions, and maintain accurate records. Florid a RN licensure and BLS are required; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Florida RN licensure or compact licensure.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong reading, comprehension and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Progressive Care Unit patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatments.
• Maintain and review patient records, including tests and exam results.
• Administer medications according to physician orders.
