Orlando Health in Downtown Orlando seeks an Assistant Nurse Operations Manager for the Trauma Burn Step-Down Unit. You will partner with the Nursing Operations Manager to lead daily unit operations, improve patient experience, quality outcomes, and staff engagement, while ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.

The role emphasizes developing future nursing leaders, governance, and fiscal stewardship within a Level I Trauma Center environment, with strong teamwork and clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred.
• BSN with graduate degree in business or health-related field preferred.
• BSN required if no MSN. Two years of RN experience in acute setting.
• Current Florida RN licensure or NLC. BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Shared 24/7 accountability with Nursing Operations Manager.
• Recruitment and selection of unit staff.
• Coordinate with HR on corrective action and career advancement.
• Investigate event reports and provide feedback.
• Oversee staff schedules for proper mix per shift.
• Manage patient flow to meet outcomes.
• Lead or participate in staff meetings and huddles.
• Perform direct patient care as needed.
