Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for Trauma Spine to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical environment. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to implement care plans and ensure safe, evidence-based nursing practice.

In addition to clinical expertise, you will educate patients and families, document care accurately, and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN licensure and nursing degree are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and every shift, noting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by the provider and document care in the medical record.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response, addressing adverse effects.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to enhance care.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, medications, and follow-up care.
