The Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana is seeking a Trauma Services PI Nurse for a full-time day shift (8 hours). This advanced practice nurse promotes high-quality trauma care, guides patients and families, and supports hospital quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include data collection for trauma QA programs, education of clinical staff, outreach activities, and daily rounds with the Trauma Medical Director and Program Manager as available.

Formación

• Current CA RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications.
• TNCC or ATCN certification.
• CEN, CCRN, or TCRN preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years ICU/ED/Trauma experience.

Responsabilidades

• Promote optimal trauma care and guide patients and families before, during and after hospitalization.
• Contribute to quality improvement, education, and administrative functions for patient progress.
• Participate in trauma data collection and QA activities with the Trauma team.

CA RN license

ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications

Salary Range: $43.48 To $65.21 Hourly

Trauma Services PI Nurse Full Time Days 8 hrs

The Trauma PI Clinician is an advanced practice nurse who assists in the promotion of optimal trauma care and guidance for patients and their families before, during, and after hospitalization at Orange County Global Medical Center, Santa Ana. Responsibilities include: assisting in quality improvement, education, and administrative functions relating to the patient’s clinical progress. Utilizing and recognizing National Trauma Data Base quality indicators in application of the trauma patient’s hospital stay. Reporting these quality indicators to the Attending Trauma Surgeon in order to provide the best care for the trauma patient in real time. Other duties may include but are not limited to: involvement in outreach programs and in-house clinical staff education related to the care of trauma patients. The PI Nurse gathers data in that is reportable to Trauma Quality Improvement Program deemed by the American College of Surgeons. The PI Clinician will be involved in daily rounding with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Manager; when available, the Trauma Nurse Practitioner.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current CA RN license
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS
• TNCC or ATCN
• CEN, CCRN, or TCRN (preferred)
• Minimum 3-5 years of ICU/ED/Trauma experience
