Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk is seeking a Trauma Nurse Registry Professional to join our team. The role focuses on collecting and entering trauma data, generating reports, and supporting research and quality initiatives across state and national trauma programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for data accuracy, timely export to NYSDOH and NTDB, and collaboration with the Trauma Program Manager and Director of Trauma to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Current and valid New York State RN license.
• 3-5 years of ICU or Emergency Nursing experience.
• Trauma Registrar Course or equivalent within 1 year of hire.
• Injury Scaling Course within 1 year of hire.
• Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Advanced computer skills including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintains the trauma registry and enters accurate data for all trauma patients.
• Exports required data to NYS DOH Trauma Registry and NTDB in a timely manner.
• Generates reports and supports trauma research and quality improvement initiatives.
• Develops data collection processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborates with Trauma Program Manager and Director of Trauma on data-driven improvements.
• Exports data to NTDB for benchmarking and prepares monthly reports on trauma volumes and activations.
