Job summary

Christus Health seeks a Trauma Registrar to provide data entry support for the Trauma Registry at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels. The role involves maintaining the Trauma Registry in compliance with state health requirements, contributing to performance improvement programs, and participating in trauma-related activities.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and be proficient in ICD-10 coding. Experience of 1 to 2 years is preferred. Full-time hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Qualifications

• Proficient in ICD-10 and Abbreviated Injury Scaling (AIS) coding.
• Must complete trauma registry software training within 90 days.
• 24 hours of trauma-related continuing education required every 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical, statistical, and informational support to the Trauma Service.
• Maintain and update trauma registry records.
• Accurately identify and enter trauma patients' data.
