Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Trauma Registry/Coding specialist to support the Trauma Program at Memorial Regional Hospital and JDCH. You will perform data abstraction, injury coding, and reporting to help maintain verification, improve patient safety, and drive performance improvement.

Qualifications include one year of trauma registry or coding experience or two years healthcare-related experience; AIS, ISS, and ICD-10 familiarity; strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology, AIS, ISS, ICD-10 familiarity.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills; ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Requires 1 year trauma registry or coding experience or 2 years healthcare related experience.
• All three certificates required within one year: trauma registry,coding courses.

Responsabilités

• Uses statistical techniques and data analysis for reporting requests.
• Assists in developing criteria for patient care evaluation and data collection for registry studies.
• Analyzes trauma documentation for compliance with quality standards (ACS and Florida).
• Codes records for injury and procedures, validating history and outcomes.
