Job summary

Empower Mental Health seeks a compassionate Mental Health Therapist (LPC or LCSW) to provide short-term therapy to clients who experienced personal injuries, such as car accidents. The role emphasizes trauma-focused interventions, emotional healing, and quick progress within a limited time frame.

The candidate will conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, and deliver evidence-based treatments (CBT, solution-focused, mindfulness).

Qualifications

Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
State licensure as a Mental Health Therapist or Counselor.
Specialized training or experience in trauma-focused therapies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the psychological impact of personal injuries and develop short-term treatment plans.
Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based interventions for trauma, anxiety, depression and related issues.
Crisis Intervention: Respond to crisis situations and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
Education and Coping Strategies: Teach clients about effects of injuries and coping strategies to foster resilience.
Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary team and share progress with stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain progress notes and treatment plans for clinical or insurance purposes.
Ethical Standards: Safeguard confidentiality and adhere to professional guidelines.
