Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Trauma Program Coordinator to lead the trauma program, align with the Trauma Medical Director, and advance regionalized trauma systems. You will coordinate reviews of trauma admissions, mortality and transfers, and drive quality improvement and patient safety across care areas.
The role requires active GA RN licensure, a BSN from an NLM-accredited program, and 3–5 years in trauma/critical care settings, with TNCC/PALS/ENPC and ACLS certifications.
Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: Assists in promoting optimal care to the injured patient through clinical activities, professional and public education, injury prevention, and performance improvement and patient safety. The Program Coordinator acts as a resource person to all patient care areas regarding nursing care as related to the trauma patient. Functions as a liaison for trauma care by maintaining effective lines of communication with all concerned parties. The Trauma Program Coordinator, in conjunction with the Trauma Medical Director, is responsible for overall management of the trauma program. The Trauma Program Coordinator will actively participate in the development of a regionalized trauma system. Coordinates and facilitates the review of the trauma patients to identify trauma admissions, deaths and transfers. Coordinates and facilitates the Trauma M&M quality review. Coordinates necessary education to improve trauma care. Reviews trauma patient care for all patients meeting quality indicators. Ensures the standard quality of care is being delivered for all trauma patients. Completes quality review in a timely manner. Oversees performance improvement and patient safety plan.
