Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) seeks an experienced Trauma Outreach Education coordinator to design, implement, and evaluate outreach programs. You will collaborate with clinical teams to advance trauma prevention and patient education across the Parkland system.

Requires RN license, TNCC/ATCN, ENPC/PALS, ACLS, and a Bachelor’s in nursing; four years of progressive nursing experience. Strong writing and public speaking skills are essential for community engagement and program

Qualifications

• Must have current RN license with Texas Board of Nursing or valid Compact RN license.
• Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN).
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• AdvancedCardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing; four years of progressive nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Trauma Department Outreach Education programs to ensure community engagement and collaboration with external partners.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate and report on outreach education and prevention programs.
• Serve as program and community liaison, perform public speaking and education to support Trauma Center goals.
• Maintain a database for all outreach educational programs.
• Develop and present prevention and education programs for the community, patients, and staff.
• Identify ways to improve work processes and patient education; monitor results to support department goals.
