Parkland Health and Hospital System is seeking a Registered Nurse with at least two years of trauma-focused bedside experience to join the Trauma Services Team. The role focuses on coordinating patient care from admission through discharge using the Parkland nursing practice model and trauma protocols.

The candidate will support trauma activations, perform rounds, and participate in performance improvement activities while maintaining state licensure and required certifications.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Must have two years of nursing experience.
• Trauma experience strongly preferred in high-acuity environment.
• Current/Valid TX RN license and BLS certification required; ACLS/ALS, PALS/ENPC and TNCC/ATCN preferred.
• CEN or CCRN certification within 18 months of hire.

Aufgaben

• Enhance trauma care for all patients admitted to Trauma Center using trauma management protocols.
• Manage trauma activations including documentation of activation criteria, injuries, plan of care, and admission data.
• Data collection and tracking for Trauma Registry, Trauma Research, and performance improvement.
• Daily patient rounds; monitor bed availability, response times, and follow-up on procedures.
• Maintain compliance with trauma center accreditation requirements and state/federal regulations.
• Participate in governance committees and injury prevention education as part of program goals.
