Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a scrub technician training course.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care per unit competencies.
• Identifies and monitors medications from the sterile field.
• Responds to emergency patient situations.
• Maintains electronic and paper medical records.
• Uses Hospital Information System (HIS) and ORSOS.
• Adheres to Infection Control and Safety Standards.
• Communicates with physicians, patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Participates in committees and Performance Improvement activities.
• Maintains regular attendance; may work overtime and on-call; available within 30 minutes of call.
• Performs related duties as required.
