Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is seeking an RN for the Operating Room Pod 2 Trauma. This unit covers acute critical care surgery/trauma, orthopedics, plastics and reconstruction, with nights 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday, no call and no weekends.

Role responsibilities include direct patient care, patient and family education on recovery and medications, and collaboration with the interprofessional team to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• RN license (required).
• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required.
• Experience: No prior experience required.
• Licenses & Certifications: RN license.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per nursing standards.
• Educate patients and families on recovery and medications.
• Promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and document individualized plans of care with interprofessional team.
