Job summary

Renown Health is seeking a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner to join the Trauma Surgery team in Reno. The Advanced Practice Provider will take 1st call, round and manage trauma patients across ICU, ER, OR, and floor services.

The incumbent will work closely with trauma surgeons, intensivists, subspecialists, hospitalists and support staff at Renown Regional, a state-of-the-art 800-bed facility. This employed position features a block schedule (7on/7off) with day shift rotations, Epic EMR, and

Qualifications

• Master's prepared RN with NP certification as defined by the Nevada Board.
• Active Nevada NP license or eligibility.
• Current AHA BLS certificate and NP certification.
• APN certification in adult/family/geriatric or acute care; Nevada Board license; DEA.

Responsibilities

• Take 1st call, round and manage trauma patients.
• Perform pediatric rounding/consults across ICU, ER, OR and floors.
• First assist with trauma surgeries; discharge planning and admitting orders.
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons, intensivists, subspecialists and support staff.
