Job summary

UVM Health - UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join a Level I Trauma Center and Golisano Children’s Hospital with a Level III NICU. You’ll provide professional respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and cystic fibrosis patients, collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating pulmonary care, with exposure to trauma, high‑acuity admissions and neonatal transport.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved program for Respiratory Care.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Vermont.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC within one year of hire.
• Current ACLS, BLS & PALS.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional respiratory care to patients in varying states of health and illness.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the patient’s pulmonary needs.
• Care for adult, pediatric, and cystic fibrosis patients in general units.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team.

Education

AMA approved Respiratory Care program

Vermont Respiratory Care Practitioner license

NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist within 12 months of hire

ACLS, BLS & PALS certifications current
