Job summary

UNC Health Care in Butner, NC seeks a full-time Yoga Instructor to lead group exercise classes, educate participants on safe techniques, and help participants reach fitness goals in a trauma-informed setting within YBH.

You will work with the Mental Health Team Therapy Services Managers and YBH Recreational Therapy, contributing to a multidisciplinary care approach and a 40-hour work week on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher-level degree may satisfy this requirement.
• Aerobic or group exercise instruction certification required.
• For classes without a certification, verified training may substitute certification in related areas.
• Six months of experience in leading group exercise activities.
• Ability to deal with a diversity of individuals and communicate with all age groups; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Educates members on safe techniques and guidelines; orients new participants.
• Instructs group exercise classes according to schedule; ensures punctuality and proper equipment handling.
• Participates in Wellness Center events, promotions, and marketing activities.
