Job summary

Nexus Family Healing is seeking a Therapist for our Austin, MN youth residential program. You will oversee treatment, perform clinical assessments, and plan discharges with a trauma-informed approach.

Responsibilities include family therapy, collaboration with the care team, and coordinating aftercare with families and providers. The role is full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or clinically related field.
• Must be licensed on-track for licensure (LICSW, LPCC, or LMFT) per state board requirements.
• Valid driver’s license required and able to meet driving requirements.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Must pass MN DHS background check.
• Ability to work with diverse individuals and meet cultural needs.
• Must complete Handle with Care training and exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management of youth’s treatment through engagement, clinical assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
• Engage families through family therapy and treatment planning; collaborate with community providers regarding progress and discharge planning.
• Develop milieu and treatment groups that are trauma informed; lead youth-focused, strength-based therapy models (e.g., TF-CBT, EMDR).
• Coordinate aftercare needs with family and social service providers; ensure timely documentation and HIPAA compliance; participate in team meetings and supervision.
