EverForward in Florida seeks a Youth Support Specialist to provide frontline care in our Residential Group Care program. You will supervise, mentor, and engage youth using trauma-informed, youth-centered practices, collaborating with clinical staff to support treatment plans.

This role emphasizes safety, routine, documentation, and active family engagement, with opportunities for ongoing training in trauma-informed care and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field, or high school diploma with substantial related experience.
• Minimum of 1 year working with youth with serious emotional disturbances (SED).
• Experience in residential treatment or group home care.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques.
• Experience documenting progress and maintaining shift communication logs.

Responsibilities

• Creating a safe, supportive environment through active supervision and positive role modeling.
• Guiding youth in building essential life skills from healthy social interaction to emotional regulation.
• Leading group and individual activities that promote education, recreation, social development, and community engagement.
• Supporting therapeutic programs and documenting progress accurately and on time.
• Collaborating on treatment plans and participating in goal setting and progress reviews.
