Job summary

Waterford Country School is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the STTAR Program in Oakdale, CT. The role acts as the on-site administrator for each shift, supervising children and staff and maintaining shelter conditions to ensure safety and program integrity.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience working with youth in residential settings, with trauma-informed approaches and strong leadership skills. No telework or remote work capability is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience working with children/adolescents in residential settings.
• Experience supervising staff and ensuring safety and compliance within a shelter environment.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and shelter procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift operations and maintain accountability for residents.
• Supervise staff and ensure safety and stability of all children on assigned shifts.
• Administer medications according to procedures and maintain certifications.
• Complete shift reports and ensure timely communication with director and CEO.
• Develop and supervise recreational, cultural, and enrichment activities across shifts.
• Maintain documentation including incident reports, log books, and forms.
• Coordinate with shelter treatment team on assessments, progress, and discharge summaries.
