Job summary

Childrens Receiving Home in Sacramento, CA is seeking an Entry Level Residential Counselor to support daily care and supervision of youth in their program.

Under supervision, you will engage youth with trauma-informed activities, maintain safe milieu, document incidents, and collaborate with staff to follow safety plans.

Candidates should have a 4-year degree or equivalent education; role requires flexibility, weekend hours, and driving as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent education as required.
• Minimum 100 hours of experience working with youth.
• Valid California Driver’s License required.
• First Aid, CPR and mandated reporting certifications as per agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Care for youth and supervise daily living conditions.
• Apply trauma-informed interventions and build rapport with youth.
• Accurately complete incident reports and maintain logs.
• Assist with safety planning and behavior support plans for youth.
• Provide transportation and supervise activities as needed.

Education

BA/BS Degree or Child Development Teaching Permit or 12 semester units of ECE and 100 hours experience with youth
