Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers in Walpole is seeking Residential Counselors to support youth with trauma histories, developmental delays, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Expect a $20 per hour salary and participation in a fellowship track offering training and potential bonuses.

This role involves trauma-informed care, skill-building with youth, and supervision across on-site and off-site activities within a fast-paced environment. Evening, holiday, and weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year plus prior experience working with youth.
• HS diploma or equivalency.
• A passion for making a positive impact on the lives of kids.

Responsibilities

• Join a dynamic team implementing trauma-informed care to support youth.
• Teach age-appropriate life, coping, and social skills through modeling and counseling.
• Facilitate groups and activities to promote youth growth and development.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment during on-site and off-site activities.
• Be physically active during 8–10 hour shifts and participate in de-escalation when needed.
