Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or youth in any setting (residential care, childcare, education, mentoring, etc.)
• Ability to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to complete trainings (CARE and Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention) and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and care for residents during daily routines and activities
• Support youth with independent living skills, coping strategies, and treatment goals
• Create, lead, and participate in age‑appropriate, therapeutic, recreational, and educational activities
• Accompany and supervise residents during appointments, outings, and community activities
• Monitor behavior, provide guidance and support, and assist with behavior modification plans
• Complete required documentation, including shift notes, logs, reports, and bed checks
• Respond to and de‑escalate crisis situations using trauma‑informed techniques
• Assist with daily household responsibilities, including meals, cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
• Ensure compliance with agency policies, licensing standards, and safety requirements
