Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers seeks an Activities Coordinator at the Southeast Campus in Plymouth, MA. You will develop and coordinate recreational, social, and community activities to address the social, emotional, and developmental needs of youth who have experienced trauma or live with mental health diagnoses.

Collaborate with clinical teams, program leadership, and community partners to create engaging programming, manage a monthly schedule, and lead staff in purpose-driven activities.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in related human service field preferred.
• Experience working with youth or adolescents and groups in residential or community settings.
• Supervisory experience needed.
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer, with the ability to learn new software applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate recreational, social, and community activities to meet the social, emotional and developmental needs of youth.
• Work with clinical, OT and milieu teams and program leadership to assess needs and develop programming.
• Develop and implement a monthly activity schedule and newsletter.
• Plan and facilitate meaningful activities and train staff to lead them.
• Provide feedback on activity implementation in real time and in team meetings.
• Ensure access to materials and resources for activities.
• Plan programming for summer and school breaks and assign staff.
