Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health in Spokane Valley seeks a Mental Health Clinician to provide trauma-informed, client-centered counseling within the WISe program. You will coordinate care with families, schools, and community resources while maintaining comprehensive records and ensuring safety planning.

The role requires a Master0s degree in a relevant field, WA credential within 30 days, WISe training, and a valid driver license. On-call duties and travel between sites are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field.
• Must apply for a Counselor Agency Affiliated Registered credential from the WA State Department of Health within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete a state-supported WISe training module or its equivalent.
• Must complete training and be able to administer the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) screening.
• Must have an unrestricted and valid driver license, active car insurance and be willing to use their personal vehicle in the course of work.
• Requires on-call rotation including weekends/evenings for crisis support with the WISe team.
• Two years of experience providing clinical behavioral health services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, person-centered counseling using evidence-based practices.
• Identify and include the clients support network in care coordination.
• Assist clients in identifying and accessing resources to meet their needs.
• Develop healthy coping mechanisms and provide client education on mental disorders.
• Coordinate with community resources and manage caseload per agency guidelines.
• Develop care plans with measurable objectives and monitor progress toward goals.
• Maintain client records and ensure confidentiality per policies.
• Represent the agency positively to the community and participate in required meetings.
