Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Human/Social Services, Psychology, Education, Criminal Justice, Victim's Outreach or Community Justice, with 1 year in advocacy in a prosecution office.
  • Equivalent education and experience may be accepted.
  • Must have at least 6 months of actual work experience; internship in a prosecution office can count for 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Navigate adult criminal and juvenile court proceedings and provide trauma-informed services to crime victims.
  • Liaise between victims, prosecutors, law enforcement and community resources.
  • Review and evaluate cases to ensure victims can access their rights under the law.
  • Prepare correspondence, documentation, and court pleadings; participate in interagency activities.
