Job summary

Safe Horizon is seeking a Crime Victim Advocate to collaborate with NYPD to support crime victims, focusing on outreach and advocacy. Responsibilities include providing client-centered services, outreach to victims, and assistance with compensation through OVS.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and two years of relevant experience. The position offers a salary range of $25.83 - $26.37 hourly and a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in crime victim service delivery or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of police and housing system is helpful.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed services for all crime victims.
• Act as a point of contact for hate crime and gun violence cases.
• Conduct community presentations and outreach.
• Assist clients with applying for compensation through OVS.
