Job summary

Safe Horizon is hiring a Senior DV Victim Advocate in New York City. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and focuses on providing trauma-informed, client-centered advocacy for sexual assault victims. Responsibilities include conducting safety assessments, collaborating with NYPD, and ensuring victims receive necessary support and resources. The position offers a hiring range of $26.38 - $27.75 per hour for full-time work (35 hours/week) along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in crime victim service delivery or relevant experience.
• Certification as a sexual assault advocate or willingness to attend training.
• Knowledge of police and criminal justice system is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide client-centered trauma-informed services for sexual assault victims.
• Conduct community presentations and safety assessments for clients.
• Advocate with NYPD SVD personnel on behalf of victims.
