Job summary

The Lane County District Attorney's Office Victim Services Program seeks a Victim Advocate to provide crisis intervention, emotional support, safety planning, and referrals to community resources. You will help victims understand the criminal justice system, explain court processes and supervision terms, and support them throughout investigations and prosecutions.

Qualifications

• Two years of responsible community service experience with direct client assistance.
• Ability to coordinate and train volunteers; strong communication skills.
• Experience advocating for victims within the criminal justice context is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, emotional support, safety planning, and referrals.
• Explain the criminal justice process, court procedures, and supervision terms.
• Support victims throughout investigations and prosecutions with professionalism.
