Job summary

Clatsop County is seeking a dedicated victim advocate to provide supervision, coordination, and advanced advocacy services for victims and witnesses of crime. The role focuses on offering crisis support, essential legal information, and navigation through the criminal justice system in collaboration with the District Attorney’s Office.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with substantial related experience and a track record in supervisory roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience providing victim services, social services, criminal justice services, or closely related services, OR
• Associate’s degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience providing victim services, social services, criminal justice services, or closely related services.
• One (1) year of supervisory or lead work experience, including directing or coordinating work or training.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, coordination, and advanced victim advocacy to ensure victims and witnesses receive support, crisis response, and navigation through the criminal justice system.
• Assist in delivering crisis response and legal information to victims and witnesses, coordinating with relevant agencies.
