Job summary

Heartland Family Service in Omaha, Nebraska, is seeking a Therapist I or II to provide comprehensive clinical assessments and evidence-based interventions for clients experiencing mental health, trauma, and/or substance use concerns. The role requires a Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or marriage & family therapy and licensure or PLADCL; LADC/PCADC; CADC credentials.

This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in counseling, social work, or MFT.
• PLADCL; LADC or PCADC; CADC or substance abuse treatment experience preferred.
• Experience delivering individual, group, family, or couples therapy.
• Ability to document clinical and billing records timely.

Responsibilities

• Complete evaluations with a diverse population of clients with co-occurring disorders.
• Establishes a treatment plan, with client participation, within first 2 sessions.
• Provides counseling to individuals in group, couple, family, or individual settings.
• Completes all case documentation for clinical and billing purposes.
• Collaborates with Heartland programs to support continuation of care.
• Meets third party payer requirements and supports billing.
• Provides mental health crisis intervention as needed.
• Dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
• Engage with community to support fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
