Job summary

KEYS Academy, supported by Health Connect America, seeks a licensed Special Education teacher to lead a structured classroom for students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs in Virginia. You will design individualized instruction aligned to IEP goals, implement KEYS for a Big Life Curriculum, and partner with the School Director to ensure Safety, Dignity, and Opportunity.

The role emphasizes data-driven instruction, collaboration with families, and adherence to SOLs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and active Virginia Special Education license are required.
• Endorsement in Emotional Disabilities or SPED K-12 is required or pending.
• Must maintain licensure and required trainings throughout employment.
• Experience with IEPs, data collection, and compliance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned to SOLs and individual IEP goals.
• Differentiate instruction for varied academic and behavioral needs.
• Embed Social Emotional Learning into daily lessons.
• Manage data and present progress to families and staff.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and related service providers.
• Maintain schedules, documentation, and required reports.
