NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) to join the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). The role involves on-call responses within 60 minutes, forensic evidence collection, documentation, and collaboration with ED staff to ensure high-quality, compassionate patient care.

Certification and state licensure are required or pursued. Responsibilities include patient advocacy, crisis intervention, and coordination with law enforcement.

Competenze

• License required: NYS RN, NP, PA, or MD with active registration
• Experience in clinical post-licensure settings or SAFE training preferred
• Strong communication and victim advocacy skills

Mansioni

• Respond to SAFE-designated NYC H+H settings within 60 minutes when on call
• Collect forensic evidence with proper chain of custody
• Document findings and complete required forms (CVB, assessment)
• Coordinate with treatment teams and law enforcement; testify as needed
