Job summary

United Health Services in Johnson City, NY, seeks a Per Diem Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) RN to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to survivors of sexual assault, partner violence, and human trafficking.

The RN will perform medical-forensic exams and collect evidence, administer prophylactic medications, and advocate for patients while coordinating with physicians, law enforcement, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Emergency Nursing, Critical Care, Women’s Health, or Pediatrics preferred.
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
• Current BLS required; ACLS, PALS, SANE-A, AFN-C, LNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive medical-forensic services to survivors.
• Conduct forensic examinations and collect evidence.
• Administer prophylactic medications.
• Provide advocacy and support throughout the patient's care experience.
• Collaborate with physicians, victim advocates, law enforcement, and community partners.
