Job summary
Helm Academy is seeking a passionate SEN HLTA to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This opportunity involves working closely with classroom teachers to deliver tailored lessons, assist in creating Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and monitor student progress. Ideal candidates will have at least three years of experience in SEN settings and must possess a valid DBS registration. Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience working in SEN settings, including experience supporting students with MLD or SLD.
Comfort in working with students with SLD, even if prior experience has focused on MLD.
A valid DBS registered on the Update Service is mandatory.
Responsibilities
Support the classroom teacher in planning and delivering high-quality lessons for SEN.
Work with individuals and small groups of students to provide targeted support.
Assist in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
Monitor student progress and provide necessary feedback.
Skills
