Shiloh House in Centennial, CO seeks a School Mental Health Counselor to mentor students, coach behavior, and promote self-regulation. The role emphasizes crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and collaboration with school teams to implement behavior plans.

The position offers a daytime schedule Mon–Fri, 7:00 am–3:00 pm, with compensation between $22.00-$24.50 per hour, plus benefits including health/dental/vision, 403(b) with match, PTO, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health/human services/education-related field.
• Experience working with youth.
• Must be at least 23 years of age.
• Valid Colorado driver's license or ability to obtain one with a clean driving record.
• Must pass FBI fingerprint & child abuse background checks.
• Comprehensive background screening per Colorado DHS regulations; health evaluation/physical required.

Responsabilités

• Supervise students in the school setting and model appropriate behaviors.
• Act as a youth mentor and behavioral coach guiding students through challenges.
• Use crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and behavior management strategies to keep environments safe.
• Document behaviors and help implement behavior plans.
• Support teachers and take responsibility for student engagement and outcomes.
• Intervene daily to influence student outcomes with trauma-informed, culturally responsive communication.
• Build trusting relationships and maintain firm but respectful boundaries.
