Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a Residential Psych Tech (RPT) to join a cottage-based treatment team. The role involves day-to-day care and supervision of children/residents and assisting in implementing individualized treatment plans.

You will work in a trauma-informed environment emphasizing dual recovery. The position requires a high school diploma, with preferred experience in group care or settings with youth.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• Experience in group care or a professional setting with youth and children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Charts ongoing observations of residents.
• Subject to mandatory overtime and shift changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Supervise and assist residents with wake-up, meals, recreation, counseling, education/vocation needs, daily routine and hygiene, and sleep.
• Collaborate with staff to implement program plans.
• Provide direct behavior observations and reinforce appropriate behaviors as prescribed.
• Participate in team meetings, shift briefs, and contribute to evaluation and treatment plan progress.
