Job summary

Northern Children’s Services in Philadelphia is seeking a part-time Residential Support Aide to provide trauma-informed support to residents and their children. You will help maintain a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment while ensuring services meet the City and state licensing requirements.

Reporting directly to the Residential Supervisor, you will work three shifts (11pm-7am, 3pm-11pm, 7am-3pm), assist with meals and activities, supervise residents, document daily interactions, and

Qualifications

• Minimum high-school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree or college degree preferred.
• At least 21 years old.
• Minimum two years of experience with adolescents in child welfare or behavioral health.
• Familiar with Philadelphia child welfare system and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Support growth and development for residents and involve them in goal setting.
• Interact calmly in crisis situations and ensure safety.
• Supervise residents and provide meals and activities.
• Transport residents to appointments and manage supplies.
• Complete documentation and end-of-shift reports.
• Communicate daily with staff regarding appointments, school, court dates, and needs.
