Serving Seniors in San Diego County seeks a Resident Services Custodian to maintain clean, safe living spaces in both resident units and common areas, coaching residents in housekeeping and independence while providing supportive custodial services.

Under Facilities supervision with Health and Social Services input, the role emphasizes dignity, trauma-informed care, and collaboration with case managers to address environmental concerns and support housing stability.

Qualifications

• Perform routine and as-needed custodial support in resident units and common areas, including cleaning, sanitation, light organization, and related housekeeping tasks.
• Provide hands-on coaching and encouragement to help residents maintain clean, safe, and functional living spaces.
• Support resident skill-building related to housekeeping routines, organization, sanitation, and healthy living practices.
• Follow trauma-informed, resident-centered approaches when residents are reluctant to accept assistance or when behavioral concerns affect the work.

Responsibilities

• Support resident independence and housing stability.
• Collaborate with case managers, housing staff, facilities, and other team members to deliver coordinated, resident-centered services.
• Document services, resident contacts, environmental concerns, and follow-up needs accurately and timely.
• Address environmental concerns that affect resident health, safety, or housing stability.
