State of Missouri, St. Louis Forensic Treatment – South, is hiring a full-time Recreation/Music Therapist for the day shift. The role supports adults in a Transitional Rehabilitation Program focusing on illness management and recovery, in a trauma-informed environment.

The position requires a college degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Music Therapy; CTRS/MT-BC preferred. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, retirement, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Assessment of basic skill functioning.
• Planning and implementing a wide range of treatment groups.
• Case management including treatment plans and documentation.
• Participation in multi-disciplinary meetings.
• Competency in psychosocial program implementation and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess basic skill functioning related to rehabilitative services.
• Plan and run diverse treatment groups for social, vocational, emotional, cognitive needs.
• Manage individual treatment plans and related records; therapy and advocacy.
• Attend and contribute to team and department meetings.
• Apply psychosocial program principles per guidelines and documentation.
