CenterPointe Hospital in Missouri seeks a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) for a full-time, on-site role within a collaborative behavioral health team. You will plan, direct and implement activity therapy, assess patients, lead sessions, and adapt activities to meet individual needs and goals.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation or related field (Master’s preferred); CTRS or related certification (or licensure with expressive therapy); CPR and de-escalation

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Three or more years’ experience in recreation in a healthcare setting.
• Previous experience in recreation in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• CTRS or certification in the area of specialty or clinical licensure with expressive therapy certification.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Aufgaben

• Plan, direct and implement activity therapy programs as a component of the patient’s treatment plan.
• Complete activity assessment through patient observation and interviews to tailor treatment plans.
• Plan and implement activities to progress treatment goals and patient well-being.
• Lead activity sessions and instruct patients in various therapies (music, art, relaxation, etc.).
• Develop treatment plans and interventions meeting patient needs and interests.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities and help build social skills.
• Modify activities to suit groups and ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
