Job summary

LMU in Los Angeles seeks a licensed mental health professional to provide psychotherapy, crisis response, and training for Postdoctoral Residents within the Student Psychological Services center. The role involves direct clinical work with individuals, couples, and groups, plus program outreach to promote student well-being.

This is a full-time, 11-month, in-person assignment with after-hours coverage on rotation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Marriage Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, or Professional Counselor required; Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology preferred.
• Licensed by the California Board is required.
• Experience in trauma treatment and crisis intervention with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological services (assessment, psychotherapy, crisis) to individuals, couples, and groups.
• Participate in after-hours crisis assessment rotation.
• Offer consultation to Student Affairs and other university departments.
• Develop and deliver programs promoting mental health and well-being.
• Provide supervision and training for Postdoctoral Residents per APPIC guidelines.
• Support LMU DEI initiatives and anti-racist goals.
• Engage in university programs as requested and perform other duties.
