Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health in Spokane is seeking a licensed psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, pharmacologic management, and collaborative care for adults, youth, and seniors with a wide range of behavioral health issues.

This role includes on-call coverage, participation in a multidisciplinary team, and opportunities to participate in residency training. Frontier offers strong benefits and a competitive salary aligned with longevity in this role.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in Washington and by the federal DEA.
• MD or DO degree required.
• Completion of Psychiatry Residency; Board eligible or Board certified.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with psychiatric history, medical history, social history, mental status exam and diagnosis.
• Provide consultative services to staff and regional partners.
• Provide psychopharmacology interventions for a full range of psychiatric illnesses.
• Follow best practices in psychopharmacologic management; tailor treatment to patient needs.
• Participate in court proceedings when required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and medical records; use collaborative documentation when possible.
• Consult with the Chief Medical Officer regularly.
• Coordinate with primary care providers and facilitate referrals.
• Work with psychiatrists, ARNPs, RN staff and office staff.
• Comply with FBH policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
