Job summary

Empower Mental Health PLLC is seeking an LPC or LCSW to provide short-term trauma-focused therapy for personal injury recovery across multiple California locations including 29 Palms, Atascadero, Bakersfield and Los Angeles.

You will assess, design treatment plans, deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused), respond to crises, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while maintaining ethical standards and client confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field.
• Current state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist or Counselor.
• Specialized training or experience in trauma-focused therapies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan treatment for clients with personal injuries.
• Provide evidence-based short-term therapy (CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused).
• Respond to crises and coordinate with emergency services when needed.
• Educate clients on injury-related effects and coping strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and share progress.
• Document sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans for reports.
• Maintain ethical standards and protect client confidentiality.
