Lao Family Community Development, Inc. seeks a Workshop Facilitator in San Pablo, CA to deliver trauma‑informed, peer‑based mentoring and financial coaching to justice‑involved individuals.

You will run both one‑to‑one and group sessions, support housing, employment, and financial literacy goals, and collaborate with case managers to help clients build independent lives post‑incarceration. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of peer coaching in justice-involved populations.
• Lived experience with justice involvement preferred.
• Familiarity with CBI curricula such as CBI-SA, Thinking for a Change, Moral Recognition Therapy.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and motivational interviewing.
• Experience facilitating groups and workshops.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bilingual in English and another language preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation to meet with landlords and clients as needed.
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours including some evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-judgmental, peer-based support to clients transitioning from incarceration or justice involvement.
• Conduct daily workshops and coaching with clients at the San Pablo office.
• Facilitate sessions in-person and virtually as needed.
• Share lived experience to build rapport and trust.
• Help clients navigate housing, employment, substance use recovery, and family reunification barriers.
• Assess financial situations and help create personalized financial plans.
• Coach clients on budgeting, saving, building credit, and financial institutions.
• Document milestones and provide progress reports.
• Collaborate with program supervisor, case managers, and specialists to align support strategies.
